Your not talking to yourself! It just takes time to get your blog out there and get followers and commenters. Sometimes if you ask a question at the end of a post you will get responses. Another way to get readers is to do a giveaway. Offer them extra entries into the giveaway to follow your blog, or to post about your giveaway. :)
